Collision Repair in Central Ohio

Most people arrive here after a bad morning. The car is damaged, the insurer wants to know what happened, and you are suddenly responsible for decisions about a subject you have never had a reason to learn. That is the part we take off you. One call opens the case, and from there we handle the tow, the estimate, the claim conversation, the repair itself and the calibrations it requires — and you get your car back the way it was.

Every repair below is done to the manufacturer’s published procedure for your specific vehicle, measured where measuring is required, calibrated where calibration is required, and documented so you can prove what was done. That is the whole argument, and it is set out in full on the OEM difference.

Not Drivable? We’ll Come and Get It.

Free local towing is available to qualified customers based on location — just ask when you open your case. Rental vehicles are available as well, so you are not left arranging one on your own while we handle the repair.

What We Repair

Frame & Structural Repair

The structure that routes crash energy around you. Measured to diagnose, straightened on the rack, and measured again to prove it is back within specification.

Frame repair →

Bumper Repair & Replacement

The cover is cosmetic. The absorber, reinforcement bar and crush cans behind it are not — and neither is the radar. We take the cover off and look.

Bumper repair →

Windshield & Auto Glass

Your windshield is bonded structure, not a window — and the forward camera calibrates to it. Glass and calibration both handled here.

Auto glass →

Dent Repair

For damage where the paint cracked or the metal creased. Panels are reshaped before any filler, bare metal is primed, and colour is matched to your car as it is today.

Dent repair →

Paintless Dent Removal

When the finish survived, the dent comes out from behind the panel and your factory paint is never touched. Faster, cheaper, and the better repair.

Paintless dent removal →

Hail Damage

Dozens of shallow dents, paint intact — the case paintless removal exists for. Counted properly under proper light, and the whole claim handled.

The last thing that happens to every collision job here. Not an upsell — just how the car goes back to you.

Refinishing runs alongside all of it — see paint and collision paint repair. Sensor work is on ADAS calibration. And every collision job finishes the same way: the vehicle is cleaned inside and out before you get the keys.

Why Drivers Choose Excite

  • One call covers the whole thing. Tow, estimate, claim, repair, calibration and a rental if you need one — without you assembling four companies while your car sits somewhere.
  • Documented OEM procedures. We look up the procedure for your specific year, model and trim rather than working from memory, and the required operations go on the estimate from the start.
  • OEM scan tools in-house. Factory tools read the build data your vehicle actually shipped with. Most shops rely on aftermarket tools alone.
  • I-CAR, ASE, PPG and 3M certified technicians and estimators. Certification on the estimating side matters as much as on the floor — work that never reaches the estimate never gets done.
  • Insurance advocacy, not paperwork you inherit. We write the estimate and the supplements and deal with your carrier directly. Ask us about helping you save on your deductible for qualified insurance work.
  • Over twenty years in central Ohio. Fixed address, a warranty you can find later, and a repair record you can hand to a future buyer.

Quick Collision Repair Questions

The questions we hear most in the first day or two after an accident. If yours isn’t here, call the shop at (614) 930-6103 — we’re glad to walk you through it.

What should I do first after an accident?

Once everyone is safe and the police report is handled, you have two things to sort out: getting the vehicle somewhere, and opening the claim. You do not have to do those in order or on your own. Call us and we can arrange the tow, start the estimate from photos, and pick up the insurance conversation from there.

Do I have to use the shop my insurer recommends?

No. Your insurer may suggest a shop, and there can be good reasons to consider one — but the choice of who repairs your vehicle belongs to you. If you would like us to handle the claim conversation on your behalf, we do that routinely.

How much will my repair cost?

Nobody can answer that from a photo alone, and anyone who quotes you a firm number before seeing the vehicle is guessing. Estimates are free, they are written from an actual inspection, and they include the operations your manufacturer requires rather than just the visible damage. You get the number before any work starts.

How long will my car be in the shop?

It depends on the damage, on parts availability and on how quickly your insurer approves the work — including any supplement. Light cosmetic work can be a few days; structural repair with calibrations runs longer. We give you a realistic estimate up front and tell you when it changes rather than at the end.

Can I get a rental while my car is being repaired?

Yes. Rental vehicles are available, and we would rather sort that out at the same time as the repair than leave you to arrange it yourself. Whether your policy covers the rental depends on your coverage, and we can look at that with you.

My car still drives. Do I really need it looked at?

Driveable is not the same as undamaged. Crush cans collapse, sensors move out of aim, and structures shift by amounts you cannot see — often with no warning light at all. An inspection is free and takes very little time, and it is the only way to know whether the parts that protect you are still able to.

Will my car look the same as it did before?

That is the standard we work to, and it is largely a paint question. Colour is matched to your vehicle as it is now rather than to the factory code, and the repair is blended into the adjacent panels so the eye never finds an edge. If a repair cannot be brought to that standard, we will tell you before starting rather than after.

Will the repair be documented?

Yes, and you should keep it. You get a record of the operations performed, the parts used, any structural measurements and any calibrations. It protects you if a question comes up later, and it is a much easier conversation with a future buyer than an undocumented repair.

Do I need an appointment?

An appointment gets you seen faster, and you can request one online or send photos of the damage from your phone to start. If the vehicle isn’t drivable, call us and we will arrange the tow.
